A disturbing trend in politics that dismisses science is currently overtaking the conservative right in America. Even if you don't agree with science the facts are that science deals exclusively in facts. Bill Nye, the most trusted scientist of my childhood tries to talk to Fox News about global warming, they just don't understand.
