It amuses me when opponents of OWS dis supporters because of how they choose to dress.  I am proud that our generation tends to rise above stereotyping others just because they have tattoos and piercings.  Never the less I thought this was a funny perspective.

I Don't Know Where You've Been..

...but the #Occupy movement has now gained SO MUCH support, it's unbelievable.  I am so happy that it is so successful.  We are on day 37 now.  We can do this.  The youth of America have the ability save our country with their enthusiasm, energy, and fearless attitudes.  We have nothing to lose, unless we choose not to #Occupy.  Continue to spread the word and teach others about the truths of the movement.  I've seen a lot of young people denouncing the movement because they don't understand it or think they are "above it" (stop worrying about being called a hippy).

Below are 2 good videos on the motives and actions of #Occupy. The first shows what is being done to enact change, while the second is showing the hypocrisy of our government.  Stay strong.  We will do this.

Why College is a Scam in the U.S.A.

myBART.gov Hacked

"BART has proved multiple times that they have no problem exploiting and abusing the people. First they displayed this by the two recent killings by BART police. Under no circumstance, unless police are shot at, make police killings acceptable.  Non-lethal weapons were available to use during both incidents, providing even that was necessary, but instead they shot to kill.  Next they violated the people’s right to assembly and prevented other bystanders from using emergency services by blocking cell phone signals in order to stop a protest against the BART police murders.  Lastly, they set up this website called mybart.gov and they stored their members information with virtually no security. The data was stored and easily obtainable via basic sqli. Any 8 year old with a internet connection could have done what we did to find it. On top of that none of the info, including the passwords, was encrypted. It is obvious BART does no give a f*** about its customers, funders and tax payers, THE PEOPLE."

The U.S. Debt Crisis Explained

UK Riots

It is possible that the U.S. could experience similar riots if provided the trigger.  The trigger in the UK was the killing of a man by the name of Mark Duggan.  He was shot and killed by police on August 5th.  Duggan was an alleged drug dealer and gang member, and he was carrying a pistol at the time of his shooting.  It was recently announced that Mark Duggan never fired on police, and therefore, never should have been shot and killed by authorities.  The events bare resemblance to the Oscar Grant shooting in Oakland in 2009.  I'm going to reserve my judgement upon Mark, an alleged drug dealer and gang member, because the rioting has to do with human rights and not with his past allegations.

Regardless of Mark's morality and past criminality, in that exact moment of his death he was shot and killed unjustly by police.  It's as simple as that.

This doesn't mean that I support the actions of the rioters--I just understand their cause.  It's okay to be angry with current situations and politics, but it is irrational and mindless to burn small businesses and destroy homes of the innocent.

The Illusion of Choice

By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. Nobody seems to care.

Good honest hard-working people … white collar, blue collar it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue, these are people of modest means … continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t give a fuck about you … they don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t care about you at all … at all … at all, and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that’s being jammed up their assholes everyday, because the owners of this country know the truth. We understand that real change comes from knowledge and inspiration.  Everything else falls in line from there.  We invite all artists, activists, "hacktivists", musicians, innovators, leakers and other intellectuals to our blog.
